"I've been contacted by folks who are not fly fishers who stumbled onto FAOL because of my  articles on where I grew up.
One has put together a free  website for people who grew up in Rogers City, MI.  Turns out his aunt and uncle were neighbors of my grandparents on the same street."

That quote pretty well defines what this site is about, although   it's really not
limited to Rogers City.                                                                                                 
 
I contacted Ladyfisher in early February 2005, asked if I could link to FAOL and also
asked her how she was connected to Rogers City.                                                             
As it turns out, Deanna used to visit her grandparents here and has obviously never
forgotten her summer visits.                                                                                                   
This particular article dealt with the Rogers City 4th of July celebration and the little    
band shell by the Courthouse.                                                                                                                        

FAOL IS CURRENTLY IN THE PROCESS OF REFORMATTING THEIR DATA.

We actually hope to accomplish several things with this website.     
#1. on that list is to promote this area.
